On Saturday, September 30, 2017, from 12 p.m.-4 p.m., the 38th Annual Harvest Fair & Apple Pie Social returns to Grafton Common. Admission is free to this family-friendly event and people of all ages are welcome.
The Fair offers a mix of activities for everyone in the community, including children’s games and crafts, a children’s toy sale area, attic treasures, a jewelry sale area, a large book sale, and live musical performances, including the always popular Kelly Clark Harvest Jazz Band.
And, of course, the Harvest Fair & Apple Pie Social will boast an assortment of homemade foods, including the region’s best baked apple pies and apple crisp, breads and desserts, grilled hamburgers and hot dogs, corn chowder, loaded baked potatoes, and sausage, peppers and onions.
Young Harvest Fair attendees will have an opportunity to play popular Children’s Games from past events, plus a few new ones: Moonwalk/Slide, Pumpkin Challenge, Face Painting, Cookie Decorating, Ring Toss, Quarterback Toss, Bean Bag Toss, Balloon Darts, Baseball Toss, Lollipop Tree, and Duck Pond game.
The rain date is Sunday, October 1, 12-4 p.m. First organized in 1980, this annual event is hosted by members of the Congregational Church of Grafton as a way to bring together members of the community in fellowship and as a fundraiser for the many missions and charities that the Church supports.
