Yesterday was a day of renovation at the church. Outside the air was flying with paint chips as workers chipped and scraped relentlessly at the exterior of the building. Inside the asbestos abatement was in full swing with another crew working from early morning to early evening within the shrouded-in-plastic-and warning-signs basement. Emerging occasionally to grab water bottles from the coolers sitting on the lawn, all of the workers stayed at their jobs almost without break.
The church building that we love will soon be a showcase on the Common. Stop by and check out the progress. It is inspiring!
